The Marsden Calendar Photo Competition is now open for 2024.

It’s time once again for the Friends of Marsden Library Calendar Photo Competition. Contestants are invited to submit up to five original photographs that capture the spirit of Marsden and the Colne Valley. Winners will have their photograph included in the Marsden calendar, receive a copy of the calendar, and the winning pictures will be exhibited. After the competition closes, entries will be judged by the Friends of Marsden Library Steering Committee and the winners will be announced by late summer.

Here are a few other things to keep in mind:

  • We want pictures with people in them, as well as pictures of landscapes.
  • We need good resolution for printing in the calendar, so the minimum image size is 1MB.
  • As it’s for a calendar, the images should be in landscape format – i.e. horizontal pictures, not vertical.
  • Maximum of 5 entries per person and each entrant may only win once
  • All entries must be approved before being considered for the competition and displayed in the Photo Gallery
  • Please do read the remaining terms and conditions!
  • And … good luck!
