It’s all over! The 2025 competition has now closed

We’ve had a record number of entries this year, the judges have got a very hard task. Here is the news you’ve all been waiting for.

And look out for the 2026 calendar on sale by October!

Do you want the insider info on how to be successful? Here’s a few pointers that might help:

Make sure your picture is horizontal (often referred to as landscape) in orientation. That’s because that’s how the winning pictures are printed in the calendar.
The judges are looking for a variety of pictures. Landscapes are welcome, so are pictures of people taking part in the many village events. As we always say, we’re looking for images that capture the spirit of the Colne Valley.
The judges also like to try and make the winning images season appropriate, so it’s a good idea to take pictures all year round.
If there’s been something special that’s happened in the last year, that’s often a good bet for inclusion.
And the judges don’t expect your pictures to be technically brilliant, its far more important that they’re interesting :-).
